TH 10 Clan War Attack Strategy GoWiPe by Top Player

GoWiPe strategy is perhaps the most popular ground attack strategy among Town Hall 10 players. Even air attacker is starting to change strategies and going for ground unit compositions. 

This post presents one of the wars between North 44 and Vzla Champions that using GoWiPe strategy to 1 star a TH10 base with all X-Bows configured to ground mode. There's a video of this attack commentated by Jorge Yao so you guys can see the attack in action. This post will show the details including the exact army composition and troop deployment steps.

Base Scout of TH 10 War Base

The 2 clans are at a ten on ten war and this is a base from the North 44 that's been 1 starred, the others

have all been 2 starred. It's not really an anti 3 star base but it's good enough. With all 3 X-Bows on ground mode it's a bit risky. It's like asking for an air raid such as Lavaloonion raid. But so far this war base has only been 1 starred so it's at least good against ground attack.

The attacker used GoWipe strategy with 4 Earthquake Spells, a pretty common strategy. The only pitty is that the king and queen aren't high level enough and that's one of the reason the attack only got 1 star.

Troop Deployement of GoWiPe Attack Strategy

1. Drop 4 Earthquake Spells at the inner layer of the base, breaking the 2rd layers of Walls, making it really easy for troops to funnel right into the core.

2. Send 1 Barbarian to attract attention and soak up fire, then using 2 wall breakers to break the wall. The attacker basically has got a clear shot to the middle of the base with two layers of Walls open.

3. Use more Barbss and Wall Breakers to do the same with the right side of the base.

4. Drop Golems at right side, middle and bottom right side to tank, with the back line dropped with some Wizards.

5.  Then drop the King and the Queen, the P.E.K.K.A and Giant in the middle for the core.

Note: here are the main attacking troops that would destroy the core of the base. For the deployment sequence Jorge Yao suggested to drop the P.E.K.K.A sooner than the King and Queen to tank; according to him the Wizards are droppred too early as well, because the Golems haven't broken in to the base when they are dropped and they are killed quickly.

6. When the King and Queen and other force are funneling in the middle, use a freeze at the multi-target
Inferno Tower, and another Freeze Spell for the single-target Inferno Tower. At the same time, the Golems are still doing their work, with the King down and the Queen cleaning up.

7. The Queen takes down the Town Hall while being attacked by single-target Inferno Tower

8. The remaining Archers and Barbarian get an additional 5% to take a total of 48% from this base.

As you can see at high end battles the ability of the Heroes is quite decisive since this particular attack could have been 2 star if the King and Queen are stronger. The attack strategy used is also very sophisticated; usually 4 Earthquake Spells are to go with GoWiPe or GoWiWi to raid a TH10 war base like this.
