Best Town Hall Level 4 Attack Strategy

Your aim in attack should be success, but what constitutes a successful attack? In my opinion, if you have reached your goal with the attack, its a successful one. Your goal can be either to loot resources or to earn trophies (3 star raids). Combination of troops is a major factor that determines success rate of an attack.

In this post, I will be talking about town hall level 4 attack strategy. At town hall level 4 you can upgrade the barrack up to level 6 only. Which means you have barbarians, archers, giants, goblins, wall breakers and finally balloons for creating a successful troop combination. Similarly, you have troops capacity of 95.  Maximum level for army camps at town hall 4 is 40 each i.e 80 in total. In addition, you get 15 troops capacity as back up from your clan castle that is at level 2.  So, what troops combination works best at this town hall level?

The best town hall level 4 attack strategy includes 10 giants, 28 goblins and 1 wall breaker. 

Irrespective of your goal, this troop combo can 3 star any level 4 and less town halls. This troops combo can even take down mid range town hall level 5’s. As you can see from the image above I have managed to get substantial amount of loot along with completely destroying bases.

What sort of bases you should attack?
First thing first, take a look at available loot amount. Any base with less than 50000 combined loot is not worthwhile to attack. Look for bases that has more than 50000 in loot available. You shouldn’t be afraid to attack town hall level 5 bases either.

What’s the strategy?
The first and foremost goal of your attack should be to lure clan castle troops and finish them first.  Release one giant near the clan castle. If troops come out of it then you can end the battle because giants will target defensive structures and goblins will target resources only. You don’t have troops to take out the army that comes out of the clan castle. Therefore, I suggest you to bring some archer or barbarians with you in your clan castle to attack. That way you won’t loose the battle.

Now focus on your second goal i.e. resource and trophies. To do this, you should target mortars first. Mortars have the capability to destroy your troops in a single strike. Make way for giants to target mortars by using wall breakers. Release the first giant followed by a wall breaker. When the wall is destroyed release all of your giants at once. In less than a minute the giants will clear all the defensive buildings, after which you can release all of your goblins. Take the loot as well as the trophies after 100% destruction of your target. You can also find bases that are ill-designed and have full resource collectors with more than 100000 in combined loot. There don’t hesitate to hit the next button unless you find an optimal base to attack.
