4 Effective Town Hall 7 War Attacking Strategies with Air Troops in Clash of Clans

Apart from Barch and Dragon raid, there are many other variation of war attack strategies at Town Hall 7. This post will summerize some tested flying army compositions in wars with pros and cons analyzed.

Mass Dragon Raid

All Dragons is a highly strong army that usually guarantees 2 or 3 stars. With Rage Spell it's basically one of the most effective strategies for getting stars around Town Hall 7 and even Town Hall 8.

The problem with it is that many times the loot isn't equal to what you've spent. For example, 10 level 2 Dragons cost 300,000 Elixir. That doesn't even include the cost of Spells and Barbarian King. So if you're looking for Elixir or Gold, you're much better off with Barch or other strategies. Clan Wars are mostly good for getting Dark Elixir bonus.

Giant-Healer Combo 

This strategy composes of a swarm of Giants, 7-8 Wall Breakers, and 2 Healers and Healing Spells.The Giants are to tank damage from defenses, the Wall Breakes to speed things up and the Healings to back them up.

It's more cost effective than Mass Dragon but it has a problem with speed and Air Defense towers.It's better to take out the ADs before sending Healers in. And it's also recommended to take some Archers to clean the remaning buildings in case you are half way through and run out of time.

Dragloon Attack Strategy

Balloons are cheaper and they prefer targeting at defenses than other buildings, while Dragons are entirely free will and will attack whatever structure they see.

The deployment sequence is first to drop Dragons and let them tank for Balloons. Then release the Balloons to take out ADs. It works best when ADs are at outer layer of base allowing the Dragons to blitz them quickly.

All Troops Invade Strategy

If you don't particularly trust certain types of troops, you might as well use all of them. 

The army composition looks somthing like this:

- 14 Giants
- 1 Healer
- 13 Wizards
- 2 Wall Breakers
- 2 Dragons
- Barbarian King
- 3 Lightning Spells
- 1 Clan Castle Dragon

This troop composition costs only around 180,000 Elixir and can achieve 2 stars most of the time.But you need to deal with so many types of troops and it can get pretty clumsy and messy sometimes.

It won't hurt if you try all these strategies. Town Hall 7 is a practice field and you have the leasure to train your muscle for later Town Hall levels.
